5/5 M7 admits including HBS & Stanford GSB

Spoke to many counsellors beforehand, but Rebecca stood out for her warm and friendly attitude and her comprehensive knowledge of B-schools. Each step was structured and completed before time — school selection, resume, essays, applications. The personal-story call alone ran two hours. Result: admits at all 5 schools applied to.

5 acceptances incl 2 M7s + $400K in scholarships — low GPA, non-traditional

Coming in with a below-average undergrad GPA and a non-traditional profile, the narrative needed serious work to land with adcoms. Rebecca’s involvement started early — school selection, campus visits, networking calls to source content for essays. Application reviews were fine-toothed; interview prep was thorough enough that the actual interviews felt easy. R1 ended with 5 acceptances and $400K+ in scholarship across them.

HBS admit — consultant background, full Menlo team behind the application

MBB consultant background with limited additional experience — differentiating was the central problem. Leslie ran 30+ revisions on the key essay before either of them was satisfied. The whole Menlo team plugged in: a GMAT expert for the retake (740 → 770), mock interviewers across the firm, Alice co-leading the career-goals brainstorming. Menlo also told the truth when it cost them — suggesting a one-year delay even though that meant losing the slot.

MBA Admissions Consulting FAQs

Common questions about our MBA admissions consulting services

Menlo Coaching offers a "total overkill" approach with unlimited essay reviews, personalized white-glove service, and consultants who are former admissions officers or successful MBA graduates from top programs. We focus exclusively on competitive applicants targeting M7 schools and maintain a selective client roster to ensure quality.

Menlo Coaching is a boutique firm specialized in M7 admissions, particularly for applicants from elite private equity, investment banking, management consulting, and family business backgrounds.

Ideally, you should start 6-12 months before your application deadlines. This gives us time to develop your story, strengthen your profile, and craft compelling essays through multiple rounds of review. However, we also offer expedited services for those with tighter timelines.

No reputable consultant can guarantee admission, as the final decision rests with the admissions committees. Menlo Coaching has a strong track record with top programs: founding partners Alice van Harten and David White have been ranked among the best by Poets&Quants, and the firm maintains a 5.0/5.0 rating across 131 verified GMAT Club reviews.

Our comprehensive package includes: unlimited essay reviews, resume optimization, school selection strategy, interview preparation with mock interviews, recommender coaching, post-admission support, and access to our team of expert consultants throughout the entire application process.

We provide comprehensive mock interviews that simulate the actual admissions interview experience. Our consultants, many of whom are former admissions officers, provide detailed feedback on your responses, body language, and overall presentation. We practice until you're confident and ready to impress.

While GMAT scores vary by school and applicant profile, most successful M7 applicants score between 720-760. However, a strong GMAT score is just one component of your application. We help you present a holistic profile that showcases your leadership, impact, and potential beyond test scores.

Yes! Our Head of Test Prep, Chris Kane, is a GMAT and GRE expert with proven strategies to help you maximize your test scores. We offer both comprehensive test prep packages and targeted tutoring sessions to help you achieve your target score efficiently.

Click the "Apply to Become a Client" button to start the process. We'll schedule an initial consultation to assess your profile, discuss your goals, and determine if we're the right fit for your MBA admissions journey. We maintain a selective client roster to ensure we can provide the highest level of personalized service.

Join Menlo's deliberately small client roster. Calendars fill up fast — many clients book a year or more in advance. We prescreen every applicant and accept fewer than half — so the earlier you talk to us, the better.
