The basic questions were same .
Why mba ?
Why noow ?
Why foster ?
Challenges and how you faced it?
Be ready to answer about the diversity , inclusion and equity question . It is their mission statement and she would like to know how you have practised those values
These were the only generic questions. Apart from that all the questions come out of what you say .
For example : i am part of a neurologically challenged group as an ally in my org . She asked more on what i do, what i experienced .
So be cautious of what you say , because she will pick up on it to check if you are genuinely saying it
Apart from that her energy was just like any other interviewer .
Also another question she frequently asks is about any cultural challenges you faced in your job.

Tell me about your career briefly
When an MBA came to your mind, and how does that fit into what I am doing right now and where I wanna go?
How is my promotion different than my prev role?
Tell me more about goals, and plan B and plan C.
what about long term plans
Why Foster is the right place for you?
How will you contribute inside and outside the classroom at Foster?
TMAT when you mentored someone, which had an impact.
Who are you in a team? What are some words that your teammates would use to describe you?
She narrated a big para of mission statement. Then she asked, in what ways do your values and lived experiences enable you to bring different perspectives to our community and to engage with people who have different values and lived experiences than yourself?
Tell me how do you stay positive when you are faced with a challenge or a mistake. How do you deal with that?
This program is pretty intense. TMAT when you felt overwhelmed with work or a project. What did you do, learn from that?
Tell me what things are you passionate outside of work.
Is there anything you wanna convey outside of application.

My interviewer was Brent Nagamine (Director of admissions). He already knew my essays, resume and entire application. So, most of the conversation was based on that. The interview was quite different than my other interviews tbh.
First 10 minutes was about the origin story and how I got to where I am. Then, we began talking about the value of community and resilience and how I plan to use it in my career goals and in MBA, how I plan to use these values to handle ambiguity and how it has led me to solve problems better. This lasted another 15 minutes.
The remaining discussion was on career goals. He already knew them but wanted more context on how the career goals (and the plan B) can get me to where I am. Finally, we concluded the discussion with why Foster and what offerings I am interested in.
Last 5 minutes were for addressing my queries regarding the program. Overall, a great discussion. Wasn’t really talking about my stories, rather it was a deeper dive into values and personality.

In the written assessment your recommender will be asked to write about your strengths, discuss areas where you could improve, discuss your leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, motivation and initiative and comment on your accomplishments, managerial potential, and other personal qualities.
Two recommendation letters are required as part of your application; however, you are permitted to submit up to three. Preferably, recommendations should be provided by professional contacts rather than academic or personal contacts. You may designate your recommenders at any time after starting your application. When you designate your recommenders in your online application profile, recommenders will receive an email directing them to the online recommendation form.

What GMAT score do I need for Foster?
The average GMAT score for Foster is around 710 (Classic) / 655 (Focus Equivalent) for the latest incoming class. As score is just one component of the application it does not mean that you can get in with 740 and someone will get dinged with 700.

What is the average GRE score for Foster?
Foster average GRE score for the latest incoming class is 322. The dynamics for most schools with GRE admissions is that a great profile with a lower-caliber GRE score seems to be acceptable but a below average profile will usually not be able to get in with above-average GRE score. As the result, the average GRE score may look very tenable but it may not result into an Admit. This is just an average score and schools admit a spectrum of applicants.
Does Foster accept without GRE or GMAT?
Foster provide test waiver. For a candidate to be competitive without a test score, they must demonstrate quantitative and program readiness by meeting several of the following criteria:
-Strong quantitative or analytical ability demonstrated throughout educational records, with a GPA at or above average as listed on the Class Profile.
-An undergraduate, masters, or advanced degree in STEM or a business-related major, with strong performance and multiple quantitative or analytical courses.
-Clearly demonstrated quantitative or analytical professional work experience. Professional certifications in a quantitative-related field, e.g., CPA, CFA, PE, etc.
-Four or more years of progressively responsible professional work experience which demonstrate deep quantitative or analytical aptitude.
-These criteria will be considered in holistic review along with other elements of the application including transcripts, resume, essays, recommendations, and admission interviews, in the context of the competitiveness of the overall applicant pool.
Meeting the above criteria does not ensure admittance to a Foster MBA program. If you believe your academic readiness is best demonstrated by an exam, we encourage you to provide an exam score.
What GPA do you need to get into Foster?
Foster average GPA is 3.3 note that the GPA is only calculated for the domestic US applicants and international GPA equivalents are not converted or included in this average. As the result, there is more leeway for international applicants as their GPA does not impact school's average but keep in mind that GPA's vary based on the prestige of the institution and rigor of the program attended. If your GPA is below 3.4 but is competitive for your program or background, you should address and explain this fact in the optional comments/essay available in the application specifically specifically for this purpose.

How long is the FT MBA program at Foster?
Foster Full Time MBA program is 20 months long. You will start the program in August/September (the first 1-2 weeks will be orientation) and graduate in April/May. The full-time MBA program has a break for a summer internship.
