Structured Process, Expert Guidance, and a Consultant Who Truly Cares

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by gmat club tests [?]

Strengths:

Three things stood out.
1. The whole process is very organized. Everything sits on a portal where you can see all your essay versions, track deadlines, and manage documents across schools.
2. My lead consultant and my LOR/CV consultant both really know what works at different schools. They stopped me from going down wrong paths multiple times, even when I was convinced I knew better.
3. And they were always available. I was working crazy hours at my job and they'd hop on calls late or work weekends without any fuss. That flexibility was a big reason I picked them over other consultants.

Would make the product better:

They've sent hundreds of students to top schools over the years, and I wish they could have connected me with a few of those past candidates or current students at my target schools. They kept telling me I should talk to people at these colleges to write better essays, which I agree with, but they weren't really able to help me get those introductions. That network exists and it would add a lot of value if they could tap into it.

I spoke to quite a few consultants before going with The Red Pen. Most of them were either too pushy or spent the first call telling me why I wouldn't get into good schools. These guys were the opposite. They listened, explained the process clearly, and gave me a realistic but encouraging picture of where I stood. I also heard from someone who got into a top school using their services, which helped me make the decision.
The essay work was the real value. My consultant would make me go through six or seven rounds of just thinking deeper and rewriting before she'd actually step in and refine the draft herself. By the eighth or ninth version, the essay would come together beautifully. She's a really good writer and that showed in the final output.
One thing I really appreciated was when I was under massive work pressure and wanted to take a sabbatical to focus on applications. She talked me out of it. She said schools actually want to see people who are managing both, and stepping away from work could look bad. Then she just simplified things for me so I only needed to spend about an hour a day on my end. That kind of advice goes beyond just applications and I was grateful for it.
The only thing I'd improve is the alumni network point I mentioned above. But overall, the quality of guidance, the writing, the availability, and the professionalism made it a great experience. I'd recommend them to anyone serious about their MBA applications.

A team that's in your corner!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Strengths:

·  TRP takes the time to understand your story
·  You get a team of specialists who help bring perspective and depth to your application
·  The team is honest, invested, and in it with you the whole way

I’ve had a long association with The Red Pen. I first worked with them for my undergraduate applications, and coming back to them for my MBA applications was an easy decision. The team's thoroughness, investment, and care have stayed consistent across both sets of applications, and I am grateful to have had them as my consultants.

Natasha, my lead consultant, was pivotal to my outcomes. The Red Pen starts you off with an in-depth get-to-know-you document, and Natasha used it to dive deep into my story, pulling on different threads, pushing me to reflect, and connecting the dots I hadn't seen on my own. That groundwork, done before we touched a single draft, helped me position my candidacy with authenticity and self-awareness. I appreciated Natasha’s direct and pointed feedback that helped me rethink and reorient my approach at several points. While she shared her opinion and made suggestions, she always left the final call to me.

One thing I really value about The Red Pen is the specialized support team behind the Lead Consultant. Manan helped me reshape my dense professional resume into a document better aligned for a business school application, and alongside Anju, walked me through how to engage my recommenders. Beyond her designated parts of the process, Anju consistently checked in and offered a useful second perspective whenever I needed it. TRP also proactively directed me toward additional support like extra mock interviews and group TBD sessions when I needed practice beyond internal support. I'd also like to thank Prerna and Manisha for onboarding me, scheduling sessions, promptly responding to my operational queries, and tracking deadlines, ensuring I stayed focused and met application deadlines.

Finally, I really appreciate Kim reviewing some of my materials and sharing feedback that strengthened my applications.

Across the board, everyone at The Red Pen made me feel like we were in this together, I found Natasha and the team invested in my wins, supportive through the harder moments, and fully behind me from start to finish.

I'd recommend The Red Pen to anyone going through the MBA application process!

Thank you Team TRP. I would not have received multiple M7 offers without you in my corner!

The Red Pen MBA Admissions Experience

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Strengths:

1. Deep, thoughtful storytelling and personal brand building (especially Pranjal’s push for reflection and authenticity)
2. Strong structure and organization via Metis, with high accessibility/responsiveness from the team
3. High-impact mock interview process (recorded sessions + detailed feedback significantly improved delivery and confidence)

Would make the product better:

1. Interview prep could be more proactive and structured; required frequent check-ins from my end to get sufficient guidance
2. Timeline management during peak periods can feel tight alongside a full-time job, but guess that's part of the process...

I worked with The Red Pen for my MBA applications starting in March 2025, and my experience overall was very positive and impactful. Going into the process, I was concerned that I might be starting a bit late - especially since I was targeting Round 1 deadlines beginning in August - and was also unsure about how to position my story, given that I was on the lower side of the typical work experience range for MBA applicants.

I worked closely with Pranjal as my lead consultant, with Anju supporting on my resume, LORs, and mock interviews, and Manisha and Prerna as consistent points of contact throughout. What really stood out was the level of depth and thoughtfulness that went into shaping my narrative. Pranjal, in particular, pushed me to reflect more deeply and articulate my experiences in a way that felt both authentic and differentiated. That process of building a clear personal brand ended up being one of the most valuable parts of the engagement.

The mock interview process was another standout. Having sessions recorded and reviewed in detail made a significant difference in how I refined my delivery and built confidence. I would strongly recommend incoming candidates opt for this service - it’s a genuine game changer.

Of course, like any MBA application journey, there were moments when timelines felt tight - especially while balancing a full-time job and working toward R1 deadlines. However, having a structured process and their in-house platform like Metis helped keep everything organized and reduced a lot of the usual chaos that comes with multiple applications. The team was also very accessible and responsive, which made a big difference during high-pressure periods.

I applied to four schools through The Red Pen and was admitted to two, with one additional waitlist. The guidance I received while making the final decision between my offers was also thoughtful and helpful.

Overall, The Red Pen’s greatest strength lies in their ability to help candidates build a strong, introspective, and authentic story. If there’s one area that can feel challenging, it’s managing timelines during peak periods - but that’s also a function of how intensive and detail-oriented the process is.

I would definitely recommend them to applicants who are looking for structured guidance, strong storytelling support, and a team that is invested in helping you get to a B-school where you genuinely fit in.

Transformed by Anju: From Stressed to Scholarship Success!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Strengths:

The Red Pen provides top-notch end-to-end support, guiding you smoothly from profile building right through to interview success with their super handy portal for tracking essays and progress. They truly personalize everything, taking time to understand your unique background and crafting stories that make your application pop for top MBAs. The team is incredibly responsive and dedicated, jumping in on resumes, LORs, mocks, and urgent revisions with thoughtful expertise that feels genuinely invested. Best of all, they delivered real results for me (with scholarship!) through sharp, iterative feedback that sharpened my edge every step of the way.

Would make the product better:

To keep things even stronger, I'd suggest adding a couple more school-specific mock interviews, the single one provided was helpful but felt a touch generic, and tailoring them deeper to my target programs (like incorporating alumni-style questions) would make them incredibly valuable. Pricing for some packages is premium, so introducing more flexible tiers could help make the excellent service accessible to even more applicants.

Electrified by Anju: From Apps to Admits!

Working with Anju was truly transformative, she brought such genuine care and expertise to every step of my MBA application journey. From the very first call, Anju took the time to really understand my background, pulling out unique stories I hadn't even considered and shaping them into essays that felt authentically me yet powerfully compelling for top programs. Her thoughtful, iterative feedback made the whole process feel collaborative and energising, not overwhelming, with the team's seamless support on resumes, LORs, and mocks keeping everything on track even during my crunch-time revisions.

I'm so grateful for the real results she helped me achieve. It was clear her investment in my success came from a place of deep passion and professionalism that made all the difference. Anju's guidance didn't just polish my applications; it boosted my confidence to own my story.

Strategic guidance that helped me convert top MBA admits

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I worked with The Red Pen for my MBA applications, and I can confidently say that their support made a meaningful difference to my overall journey and outcomes.

My consultant, Gunjan Jhunjhunwala, was exceptional throughout the process. From the very beginning, she invested time in understanding my background, career trajectory, and aspirations in depth. This allowed us to craft a clear and compelling narrative that was authentic and aligned with my goals.

She was also extremely helpful in guiding me through school selection — helping me build a well-balanced and realistic list of target programs based on my profile, career goals, and preferences.

What stood out the most was the structured yet highly personalized approach. Whether it was refining my essays, preparing for interviews, or helping me position my profile effectively across different schools, Gunjan provided thoughtful, actionable feedback at every stage. She struck the right balance between pushing me to improve and ensuring that my voice remained consistent throughout the application. Turnaround times were prompt, and the level of detail in feedback was consistently high.

I’m grateful to have received offers from London Business School, University of Oxford, and University of Cambridge, and I believe The Red Pen played an important role in helping me present my best possible application.

I would highly recommend The Red Pen to anyone looking for a thoughtful, strategic, and supportive partner in their MBA application journey.

A Solid Consulting Group to Get into Top Schools

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by post count [?]

Strengths:

1. The personalised intent shown throughout the application journey.
2. Interview prep.
3. Willingness to accommodate according to students' preferences.
4. Abiding by timelines and personal checkpoints.

Would make the product better:

1. Price is bit steep.
2. The school selection process can be improved. I feel consultants can be more forthcoming and assertive while recommending schools based on the student's profile.
3. The LoR and Resume process felt a bit stretched as it happened in the background. Maybe a dedicated week or two can be given to LoRs while the application essays are paused.

Natasha was my primary consultant, while Anju supported me with my LoRs and resume. Natasha was extremely helpful throughout the application journey. We were able to complete all our essays well before the submission deadline, which gave us ample time to refine storylines and key points toward the end.

I was particularly impressed by the depth we achieved while working through individual STAR stories. Having a clear structure from the beginning was invaluable, especially since many of my interviews revolved around these same stories. Overall, my conversations with Natasha were enriching and gave me the confidence to apply to my target schools.

The LoR and resume processes were also handled very well. Most discussions were completed early, though the Resume was finalized bit too close to the deadline. Overall, if cost is not a major constraint, I would recommend TRP to prospective applicants.

Excellent end-to-end support for MBA Admissions

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Strengths:

-> End-to-end support for admissions counselling of MBA in a highly systematic fashion
-> Dedicated consultants for all aspects of the admissions process; from essay writing to interview preparation

Would make the product better:

-> Package pricing. It is on the more expensive side
-> Need to include more mock interviews in the package

I utilised the services of The Red Pen (TRP) for my MBA admissions process. Being a full-time working professional, the support from TRP was essential for me to complete the technical process of submitting an MBA application. My lead consultant Ms. Anju Goela provided a detailed structure that ensured all aspects of the process were fulfilled in a timely fashion. All the consultants were open with their critical feedback which empowered me to create a well-rounded application. Their support ensured I got admitted to my target school, Warwick Business School. I highly recommend the services of TRP for anyone who wishes to approach the MBA admission process in a systematic fashion.
