The Interviewer was pretty warm and made me feel at ease throughout . She mentioned that the interview will only go on for 30 mins excluding any questions I might have for her. she also said that since already knows the common reasons why I would want to join tepper ,she wanted to get into the personality and behavior aspect :
1. A situation in my job where I had a conflict or someone was angry
2. A situation where your peer was unable to perform well and what you did
3. Why I want to do an MBA now ?
4. Why not some other university than Tepper?
5. What i will contribute to tepper in terms of collaboration
6. If I have any questions for her.
Overall it will feel like just a normal conversation without any stress . Be prepared with behavioral questions around collaboration ,leadership , conflict resolution etc.

1. Tell me about yourself, your journey from undergrad to current workplace, your background, etc.
2. Tell me about why M&A and entrepreneurship, expand on short term goals. (She read my applications (written and video essays) so this question was based off that).
3. CMU places a big importance on community, TMAT when you made a difference in your community as a leader, with a project, person, etc.
4. TMAT when you had to deal with difficult situations or conversations, how did they go?
5. Follow up from previous question about another project of mine she wanted me to talk about.
6. TMAT when you faced failure or a bad situation, what did you do?
7. You've grown a lot during your short career timeline, what resources did you use and were most helpful during this journey (like trainings, etc.)?
8. How have the different cultures you've experience affected your business view, how decisions are made, etc. (I moved around a lot growing up)
9. Tell me about your hobbies, what you do outside of work.
10. Any questions for me?

1. I mentioned I want to work at Apple, and she asked if I am open to other companies and, in general, what my Plan B was.
2. Since my post-MBA goal was to work in Product management, she asked what skills I need to become one.
3. What resource do you use for research?
4. TMAT you resolved a conflict
5. Tell me about your greatest accomplishment
6. I mentioned I like to travel a lot, and she asked which culture impacted me the most.
After every answer, she shared her perspective as well and kept the conversation flowing. She has a lot of cats, so sharing that you like cats or something might account for additional bonus points :)

Tepper Recommendation Questions
Full Tepper Recommendation Form
We require just one recommendation. Ideally, you would pick a supervisor (current or previous), however, anyone who can speak to your professional work experience in detail would be appropriate.
We use the GMAC Common Letter of Recommendation (LOR). The Common LOR is intended to save you and your recommender valuable time by providing a single set of recommendation questions for each participating school. This allows your recommender to use the same answers for multiple letter submissions, alleviating the workload of having to answer different questions for each school multiple times. You benefit because it makes the ask for several different letters to be written on your behalf much easier.

How do you hope to transform, both professionally and personally, during your time in the program? Please describe your development goals and steps you plan to achieve them.

We require just one recommendation. Ideally, you would pick a supervisor (current or previous), however, anyone who can speak to your professional work experience in detail would be appropriate.
We use the GMAC Common Letter of Recommendation (LOR). The Common LOR is intended to save you and your recommender valuable time by providing a single set of recommendation questions for each participating school. This allows your recommender to use the same answers for multiple letter submissions, alleviating the workload of having to answer different questions for each school multiple times. You benefit because it makes the ask for several different letters to be written on your behalf much easier.

What GMAT score do I need for Tepper?
The average GMAT score for Tepper is around 710 (Classic) / 655 (Focus Equivalent) for the latest incoming class. As score is just one component of the application it does not mean that you can get in with 740 and someone will get dinged with 700.
Here is what you can use as a guide:
1) Are you from an over-represented demography? If yes, add 30 points to the average to arrive at a competitive score for your peer group.

What is the average GRE score for Tepper?
Tepper average GRE score for the latest incoming class is 324. The dynamics for most schools with GRE admissions is that a great profile with a lower-caliber GRE score seems to be acceptable but a below average profile will usually not be able to get in with above-average GRE score. As the result, the average GRE score may look very tenable but it may not result into an Admit. This is just an average score and schools admit a spectrum of applicants.

What GPA do you need to get into Tepper?
Tepper average GPA is 3.26 note that the GPA is only calculated for the domestic US applicants and international GPA equivalents are not converted or included in this average. As the result, there is more leeway for international applicants as their GPA does not impact school's average but keep in mind that GPA's vary based on the prestige of the institution and rigor of the program attended. If your GPA is below 3.4 but is competitive for your program or background, you should address and explain this fact in the optional comments/essay available in the application specifically specifically for this purpose.

How long is the FT MBA program at Tepper?
Tepper Full Time MBA program is 20 months long. You will start the program in August/September (the first 1-2 weeks will be orientation) and graduate in April/May. The full-time MBA program has a break for a summer internship.
