Who We Are
GMAT Club is an independent, community-driven forum and information platform focused on GMAT preparation and MBA admissions. We provide a space where test-takers and applicants can share experiences, insights, and feedback related to GMAT courses, admissions consulting services, business schools, tutors, practice tests, and test centers.
GMAT Club operates independently and is not affiliated with GMAC or any official GMAT testing authority.
Except for our own GMAT practice tests, we do not sell, represent, or act on behalf of third-party courses, consultants, or institutions. Our role is to host user-generated content and maintain a fair, transparent environment for community discussion and reviews.
Purpose of This Policy
The purpose of this Review Verification Policy is to explain how reviews on GMAT Club are collected, verified, moderated, and displayed. This policy is designed to promote transparency, protect the integrity of user feedback, and help users understand what verification means on our platform.
By outlining our review verification and moderation practices, we aim to reduce fraudulent, misleading, or duplicate reviews and to ensure that feedback published on GMAT Club reflects genuine user experiences to the greatest extent reasonably possible.

Scope: Types of Reviews on GMAT Club
This policy applies to all reviews submitted and displayed on GMAT Club. Different types of reviews may be subject to different verification standards, depending on whether verification is feasible or meaningful for a specific category.
Covered Categories
How Reviews Are Submitted
Reviews on GMAT Club are submitted by registered users of the platform. Reviewers are expected to share feedback based on their personal experience with the product, service, or institution being reviewed.
Prohibited Content
- Anonymous reviews are not permitted.
- Paid reviews or reviews submitted in exchange for incentives.
- Promotional, misleading, or duplicated content.
- Reviews not based on genuine personal experience.
* Violations may result in rejection or removal in accordance with our moderation guidelines.
Review Verification Process
GMAT Club applies review verification to certain categories of reviews in order to improve credibility, reduce abuse, and protect the integrity of community feedback. Verification is not applied uniformly to all review types and is only used where it is technically feasible and meaningful.
Our Verification Approach
Eligibility Confirmation
We use a two-stage process to confirm reviewer eligibility for eligible reviews.
Privacy First
Our process minimizes the collection and storage of personal data while ensuring authenticity.
5.1 Two-Stage Verification for Reviews
1
Stage 1: Proof of Purchase or Service Use
For GMAT courses and admissions consulting reviews, GMAT Club verifies that the reviewer has actually used the product or service being reviewed. This verification is performed by confirming the purchase or engagement directly with the course provider or consulting service, where possible.
GMAT Club is not a party to any transaction between users and third-party providers. Verification at this stage is limited to confirming that the reviewer is eligible to submit a review based on prior use of the service.
2
Stage 2: User Verification
In addition to proof of purchase, GMAT Club verifies that the user is a real, unique person to confirm reviewer identity and prevent duplicate or fraudulent submissions.
GMAT Club uses one of four options to verify a user's identity:
Automated GMAT Score Verification
Verification may be completed using a GMAT score report link or by confirming access via an mba.com login. GMAT Club does not store login credentials or personal account information. Instead, we confirm the GMAT score and generate an encrypted, anonymized unique test-taker identifier. This identifier is used solely to prevent multiple verified reviews from the same individual and applies across both online and test-center GMAT and GRE formats.
Automated GRE Score Verification
GMAT Club may also verify a GRE score using a score report or ETS login. GMAT Club does not store login credentials or personal account information. Instead, we confirm the GRE score and generate an encrypted, anonymized unique test-taker identifier. This identifier is used solely to prevent multiple verified reviews from the same individual and applies across both online and test-center GMAT and GRE formats.
Test Waiver
If a user did not take the GMAT or GRE, GMAT Club provides alternatives which includes a Test Waiver Approval Letter or an official Admission Letter in PDF format.
Business School Email Address
Once users have confirmed their intent to attend a business school, the institution issues a unique MBA email address to them. GMAT Club sends a verification message to that school-issued email address, and the reviewer must confirm access in order to complete the identity verification process.
Privacy Protection
All verification methods prioritize user privacy. GMAT Club does not store login credentials or personal account information, using only encrypted, anonymized identifiers to maintain platform integrity.
Which Reviews Are Verified (and Which Are Not)
Verified Reviews
The following categories of reviews are eligible for verification on GMAT Club:
GMAT Course Reviews
Admissions Consulting Reviews
Business School & MBA Reviews
These reviews may display a verification label once the applicable verification steps have been successfully completed.
Reviews That Are Not Verified
GMAT Club does not verify the following types of reviews:
Test center reviews
Practice test reviews
Reviews related to loans, books, or study guides
In these cases, verification is either not technically feasible or does not meaningfully improve review quality. These reviews are still subject to moderation and integrity checks as described in this policy.
What "Verified" Means on GMAT Club
A "Verified" label on GMAT Club indicates that the reviewer's identity and eligibility to submit a review have been confirmed using our verification process.
Verification means that the review was submitted by a real individual who meets the criteria for reviewing the specific product or service.
What Verification Does NOT Mean
- It does NOT represent an endorsement or recommendation by GMAT Club
- It does NOT imply a quality guarantee of the product or service
- It does NOT imply any expected outcome, score improvement, or admissions result
All verified reviews reflect the personal opinions and experiences of individual users.
Reviewer Limits and Fair Use
To prevent manipulation and ensure fair representation, GMAT Club limits reviewers to a single review per product or service. A user may submit multiple reviews only if they relate to different products or services.
Example Scenario
Allowed:
A user who has taken a GMAT course and later purchased admissions consulting services may submit one review for each.
Not Allowed:
The same individual may not submit multiple reviews for the same course, consulting service, or program.
Policy Violations
Attempts to bypass review limits, duplicate verification, or otherwise manipulate the review system may result in review removal or account restrictions.
Moderation, Integrity, and Fraud Prevention
All reviews submitted to GMAT Club are subject to moderation and integrity checks. These measures are designed to detect and prevent fraudulent, misleading, or manipulative content while preserving open and honest community discussion.
Our moderation process may include automated systems and manual review to identify duplicate submissions, coordinated review activity, incentive-based reviews, or content that violates our guidelines. GMAT Club reserves the right to edit, reject, or remove reviews that do not comply with this policy or that undermine the integrity of the platform.
Reviews of GMAT Club Products
GMAT Club allows users to submit reviews of GMAT Club–owned products, including GMAT practice tests, under the same general review guidelines applied to third-party products and services.
Reviews of GMAT Club products are not given preferential treatment in moderation, visibility, or verification. All such reviews reflect the opinions of individual users and are subject to the same standards of integrity, transparency, and fair use described in this policy.
Limitations of Review Verification
While GMAT Club takes reasonable steps to verify certain reviews, no verification process can guarantee complete accuracy or objectivity. Reviews represent individual experiences and opinions, which may vary based on personal circumstances, preparation methods, and goals.
Verification confirms reviewer eligibility and identity but does not validate the accuracy of every factual claim or predict outcomes such as GMAT scores or admissions results. Users are encouraged to consider multiple reviews and sources when making decisions.
Reporting, Editing, and Removing Reviews
Users may report reviews they believe to be inaccurate, misleading, or in violation of this policy. Reported reviews are evaluated by the GMAT Club moderation team and may be edited, removed, or left unchanged based on the outcome of the review.
Reviewers may request edits or removal of their own reviews, subject to moderation and verification considerations. GMAT Club retains final discretion over review visibility in order to protect the integrity and usefulness of the platform.
Transparency and Independence
GMAT Club operates as an independent platform and does not allow financial relationships, advertising arrangements, or partnerships to influence review verification, moderation, or display.
Verification labels, review visibility, and moderation decisions are not sold and cannot be purchased. The presence or absence of a "Verified" label is determined solely by the applicable verification process described in this policy.
Our goal is to maintain a trustworthy, community-driven environment where users can rely on transparent and unbiased feedback.
Policy Updates
GMAT Club may update this Review Verification Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our review processes, platform features, or regulatory considerations.
Any updates will be posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of GMAT Club after policy changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
