what are the best tricks to promote a website. Are there any free tools which really work ? I repeat which really work ? Practical code examples for web promotion in google and yahoo....

Search engines become more and more agile, crafty, innovative in tweaking their algos to eliminate the effectiveness of any "tricks". Thus effort, time and financial resources, spent on tricks may prove a waste very quickly - often the tips offered by SEO gurus are already obsolete.

On the other hand people become more and more skilled in avoiding the promotional/excess/useless portions of web pages, emails, etc.

Thus, the only "working" trick is great content - content that solves someone's pain or is about your visitor's passion. Of course, you should work to make it easy for the machines to figure out the semantics of your content and help people find the information that would be of value to them, so some SEO tweaking will be in order after all.

But as you probably know, the results of these efforts will not really be swift.
If you expect such - targeted advertising (e.g. Google AdWords) is the obvious way to go.

There really are no shortcuts.

Don't use "tricks".
Just offer great content.
Ask for links.
Include links in your forum signature. Create a blog and include some links.
Comment on the blogs of others.
Do some directory submission.
Do some social bookmarking.
Do some offline marketing.
etc. etc.

EO stands for Search Engine Optimization and it's the best thing since sliced bread in terms of free website promotion. Search Engine Optimization is the process of making website pages attractive to search engines, and the great thing is that it's not hard to learn and apply the basics to your own website(s).

Through working on SEO, you can improve the page rankings of your web pages and drive more traffic to your site.

In todays market mostly the business promotion are done either on line or manually or it is done through the television . But if you like to promote your business on line then the SEO is the best option.Because the seo optimize your web site among all the relevant of your sites and also good for the page rank of your website.and you can promote your business via social networking site like face book,twitter,etc.
