B is the answer:

1 is not suff., since its only implication is that -1 and 1 belong to S.

2 is suff., since -2 and 2 belong to S => -4 belongs to S.

my anz wud be

E ...
A) not suffiencient... since we know that 1 , -1 ARE THR...

B) not suffcient ... 2 and -2 are there....

combining we do not anything other than 1 -1 2 and -2...

also how can we assume that -a = b batli a=2 acc'' second statmt'' and if a is there we alsp have -a= -2 and if a is there we get b there... true but how and why do we have to assume that b=-a

and how can we multiply 2 and -2 its like -a* a and not ab...
some one help me ...

Have fun :)
