lets say
a=2
b=1
n = 2
a^n = 4
b^n = 1
a^n>b^n

a = -1
b = -2
n = 2
a^n = 1
b^n = 4
here a^n < b^n

+1 E

Don't forget to consider the case when a and b are both negative.
