ok so I've seen that the GPA vs GMAT score has been discussed here a lot before but i would also like to know how US universities will assess the GPA of developing countries, say some student from South Asia (not india) ??? would they know about the situation here ? because the education system is a mess here because of poor management and regular disruption from politics and on top of that my university is awfully strict when it comes to grading than other universities in same country.
My average GPA is only 2.6 in a decreasing trend, i got 1 semester left but i guess i cant do anything much about it
and scores are relatively better in quantitative subject. I got A's and B's in Accounting (foundation part) so i wanted to choose accounting as an elective but there was only finance and marketing as an option so i choose finance. Ok i will admit that i was a bit playful and spend most of my time participating in many music competitions and winning it
After graduation i want to apply straight for US. It looks like scoring high in GMAT is the only way of getting hope. So if i score say 700+ in GMAT
i want to ask is what are my chances of getting admission and $$$ in top 100 b-schools ? or in top 500? or in top 1000? in MBA or Macc programs
