Percent and Ratio Word Problems [#permalink] New post 21 Apr 2012, 09:49
The one area in the quant part, in which I'm still struggling is word problems involving fractions and percentages. I sometimes get tangled up and can't extract all the information and can't relate the variables to one another. I even make mistakes on easy questions of this type and since the GMAT seems to like to throw in these problems at the early stages of the test, I'm in some trouble. I write the test next friday and I have to eliminate the deficits in this area. How can I best do this? Is it best to just do as many problems as possible? I know all the basics of fractions and percentages, but as I said I sometimes struggle with the wording of those questions and can't relate the variables correctly. Any advice would be appreciated.
