Its C indeed!

B, D & E: 'Achieving farm animals' & 'Achievement of farm animals' are wrong usages.
A: Bad construction. Doesn't sound good at all.
C: Correct

read ':' as namely ... so A, B and C are gone .. it is between D and E. ..

D sounds better.

@ugimba i think its the ACHIEVEMENT OF TECHNOLOGY and not the ACHIEVEMENT OF FARM ANIMALS
correct me if i am wrong

please can anyone properly explain why C is correct

A) achieving a consistency of quality and production in farm animals as once thought to be (awkward construction)
(B) achieving farm animals (the farm animals are not achieving) with a consistency of quality and production as were once thought of as
(C) achieving in farm animals a consistency of quality and production that was once thought to be - contains correct parallelism, comparison and verb tense
(D) achievement of farm animals (farm animals are not achieving) whose consistency of quality and production are the same as what were once thought to he
(E) achievement of farm animals (farm animals are not achieving) at a consistency of quality and production once thought of as
