My time at Goizueta has been fulfilling. I have been able to achieve my professional goals, made strong connections with classmates, and enjoyed the rigor of the academic experience.
Goizueta is a place where you have to put in the work to get what you want. It is not the most social school, but if you make an effort you can develop lifelong friendships. If you are clear on what you want to do professionally, the resources to help you do it are available. You will need to leverage the network and dig deep to find the right people to help you get to where you want to go.
Academically Goizueta is more rigorous than I expected. Students generally come to class, prepare for class, and engage in class. If you want to coast you surely can, but if you want to excel you can do that too.
Goizueta does need to improve its sense of community. The program office does a good job in fostering a sense of community during your fist semester, but beyond that it is up to the student to engage and develop a community for themselves.
Professors are knowledgeable and most are strong teachers. Many have real world experience they bring to the classroom. Some have higher standards than others. The curriculum is going through a much needed overhaul. The changes being made will help students be more prepared for the workforce.
Atlanta is a major metro. Several F500 companies recruit at Goizueta. Most consulting firms do as well. Students generally do quite well in IB recruiting, especially for the size of the program.
