Hi everyone,
I am a new member to GMAT Club and have been extensively using the inputs by other members. I would like to invite some more inputs on specific study plan I should follow. Details are:
- I am a GMAT novice- current standing is around 560-570 score.
- Big opportunity to improve in Quant, Verbal is ok ok. Quant has timing and accuracy issues while Verbal has only timing issues.
- Completed approx 25 hours of study so far
- Can study for more than 12 hours daily for 105 days upto the exam date
- Indian resident
- 10+ years of work experience in senior management positions
- Seeking admissions to Indian B-Schools.
Please share your thoughts/inputs which will be of immense value.

Hi,
I am surprised that you will be able to spend more than 12 hrs a day for 105 days. That's a massive 1200+ hours
. Given that you already have more than 10yrs experience, I am not really sure if you need to spend that much amount of time for preparation (Besides I wonder how you would get so much time, unless you take a break for GMAT).
In my opinion you can cut short on the amount of hours you spend every day. Three months of preparation time is ok. Based on what I have read in these forums people typically spend about 150-300 hours and manage to get a good enough score (700+). If you fundamentals are week, still I don't see why you need to spend so many hours on preparation, unless you are aiming for 800. And even that score would not count much for you I guess, because with a decent score of 700+ you can project your work experience to convince the admission committee.
My suggestions is to get your fundamentals very strong using one of the prep. courses and then spend quality time on OG problems.
