It is B. Because B suggests that all the customers who could not get a seat in Martin's restaurant went to the previously existing Wildflower Inn (as there were only 2 restaurants). Which means that in any case there was a definite increase in the number of meals/customers at Wildflower Inn. The subtle thing is: We normally tend to get into the shell game here, to try and find a choice which proves that Wildflower's increase was due to a loss in Martin's customer base. But the question just asks "why did the av number of meals increase at Wildflower?"
2 things. [b] says that most of the customers of martin's cafe had never dined in Riverville implying that Windflower was not getting much business before. That along with the fact that Martin's doesn't have enough seating suggests that Windflower is seeing more people come to the restaurant than was the case before Martin's opened.
I marked wrong in test 1 but marked B for the second time. _________________
