I was very focused on GMAT lately, I wanted to finish it first and than switch to other parts of the application. I did not think that TOEFL could be a bit of a problem as there are an abundance of test centers and I decided to take TOEFL in the mid of December to receive results just before the application deadline. Now all the dates for Dec and half of Jan are full and the closest date I can take exam in the area of 5 hours flight radius from my location is the beginning of Jan after the 2nd round deadline. I am very concerned with applying in the 3rd round as it is very risky because my application is far from brilliant.
So the question is whether it is possible to submit application without TOEFL and send results two weeks after?
Or should I apply in the 3rd round and not be in a rush?

Thanks a lot for your support!

I am not a professional, so I will leave the professional advice to them.

But my personal advice is to contact the admissions department for the school(s) you hope to get into. I would believe that each school would have a different answer to your question, and ultimately it is there decission to allow this or not.

But before you do that, I would try contacting TOEFL exam centers to see if you might be able to be put on a waiting list. I'm sure that people cancel apointments all the time, and there might be a way for you to get one of those spots. Maybe even show up at a test center, introduce yourself, thell them your problem, make friends. When you are kind, often times people would like to help you out. They might even have an open testing slot! You never know. But just because it says there are no spots online, I wouldn't give up hope yet. Good luck!

I agree that 3rd round doesn't make a lot of sense if your application is not excellent. Sounds like you'll need to fly further than 5 hours away... Time for a vacation?
