My initial GMATPrep test was at 590, Q34 and V37. I'm not worried as much about raising my verbal as it is already much higher and language has always been much easier for me. I think it will come up with much less effort than my Quant.
I'm aiming for a Q45 - what would you suggest as a study plan? I have the
MGMAT guides and OG13 to work with but will look at other material if necessary. I just finished Guide 1 which is Fractions/Decimals/Percents. Is there a particular order I should utilize when utilizing the 5
MGMAT guides? Just go in order from 1 through 5? Does the gmat focus more on particular topics in certain guides and should I focus more on those respective guides? Or assuming that I top out at Q45 are there certain topics that I won't even see on the test and can eliminate from my studies?
Hi forthays,
37 in verbal is really good; you can devote more time for your quant prep.
MGMAT guides are a great resource; there is no particular in which you should use these guides. However, as you are at Q34, you need to start from the basics, MGMATs foundations in Quant can help you with the basics. Further when you start doing the strategy guides, first do the basic chapters + related OG questions then move to the advanced chapters + related OG questions. There are a few important topics in quant - Number Properties, Equations. Having said that, most questions require applications of concepts from different areas. All the best !!
Hope this helps,
Vercules
