Well, I just got admitted ot the NYU phd program in accounting. Hope to hear more from others soon, but glad one is in the bag.

Hi, Congrats Mick. Yesterday I got admission and financial assistantship offer from RPI; PhD in Information Systems. Turns out to be $1600 per month. Can anybody say that whether I can survive in that money in Troy,NY ? My wife will also be with me.

Thanks Deeps and Somakh. Deeps, no, no interview for either school, just admit (I don't think they actually interview).

Somakh - congrats! That is great - is this a school you really wanted? What is your dream school? Re the money, not sure at all, I am not from the US, I guess it depends all on the rental prices in Troy.
