Alternative Transcript - DC Area [#permalink] New post 09 Mar 2011, 20:33
I'm looking to take some quant courses this spring or summer to help create an alternative transcript. Has anyone had any good experiences doing this in the DC area? The obvious candidates are Maryland (College Park or DC campus) and Georgetown. Any advice or previous experience is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

this is such a random question! i think only i can answer it, only partially however.

I took four classes at NVCC annandale. All business classes, all A's. Spring 2010

I withdrew from maryland and didnt apply to gw.

Got the interview from MD though.

Am currently on the waitlist at GTOWN
But I feel good about....last year 94 kids in off the WL!

I suppose every question that starts a new thread could be considered random. Your input on the schools you've applied to is also random.

um....showing you what a alternative transcript can do, are you trying to build one in one of those schools?

No I would build there due to my location and apply elsewhere.

got ya, ok well you shouldn't take graduate classes to build an alt transcript. Grad schools grades are inflated and admissions people know that. You are better off taking classes at the undergrad level. I know it sounds counterintuitive but ask around a bit, there is a consensus.
