I have been accepted to Vanderbilt. Got the email notification just now and I am so happy, although nothing's been mentioned about scholarship.....

so, iokita, have you heard from other schools? will you go to vandy?

oh, of course, congrats to all of you above!:)

Good news travel fast, I guess. I just got the same e-mail :) Congratulations on your acceptance!

I think that makes the number of Vanderbilt admits on this forum FIVE. Great job! Taking into consideration the program's average GMAT of 700, I think we should be proud of ourselves :D Has anyone accepted already?

Congratulations again!

I have only heard from Vanderbilt and UIUC. I applied 2nd round at Washington and at BC I believe the latest notification will be in April.

However, I really like Vanderbilt and have pretty much made my decision to attend. Vanderbilt just seemed like they had much flexibility in the curriculum compared to BC and Wash U. Not to mention any bit of scholarship helped.

What are your plans rrong?

Also Raptr I assume you'll be choosing LSE over Vanderbilt? :)

Wanted to pass along that Princeton just offered me a half tuition scholarship! Now I am definitely attending there over Vanderbilt.

so, I applied for three schools

Rochester U: rejected me. (was notified by email, and no interview conducted.)
Vanderbilt: gave me admission letter. No scholarship offered.
BC: haven't heard from them yet.

so i'll wait and see how BC application goes...I guess any amount of scholarship will make a big difference to me...

Iokita, I am sure that the folks at Vanderbilt won't be very happy with your assumption :) As for me, I have not made a decision yet. I will wait to see the outcome of all my applications and will decide then. I am still waiting on NYU (M.A. Econ) and Cambridge (M.Phil. Finance). There are so many permutations... program strength/curriculum, recruiting, location, cost/scholarships, and of course, prestige. It's kinda hard to decide.

I like LSE, I love the idea of going to London for a couple of years (great city, plus I will be closer to my family). Although I am a bit reluctant to leave NYC, I am planning to come back to the US for an MBA. That makes London even more attractive because God knows if I will ever get a chance to live/study/work in London again...

So yeah, I am undecided :D

Heh, I still think Vandy has a great program after all I'll be attending, but it seemed you were partial to LSE and it does have a great place in finance.

Princeton admits, could you please post a little bit more about yourself ? i.e. GMAT, GPA, any work experience etc. I applied there, but was rejected and I want to see if I can improve my profile before I reapply next year.

Just accepted LSE's offer.

KoolSIM,

I thought Bentley had a good program. Can't tell you more but I was considering it in the beginning. Comparing the recruiting statistics of schools might be a good way to start the decision processes.

@ bsd_lover

Personnally I took the GRE (800, 500, 3.5), I have little work experience (4 months but not in Finance) and I am in one of the top2 Engineering school in France.
