Hi all,

Can any one suggest some good guides for making MBA applications?
Also, are any of these available in India?

How good is "How to get into Top MBA Programs - Richard Montaunk"? I believe 4th edition is coming up on August 7th (according to Amazon).

Thanks for any other useful information!

Regards,
On Ali

'Great Application Essays for Busines School' by paul Bodine is my recommendation..

You can also ask him for profile evaluation in the same forum ..Ask Accepted.com

There have been several discussions on this. Montauk and Bodine appear to be the clear winners, with some other books getting support.

The biggest problem is finding these books in India.

I have checked big book stores like Crossword, Landmark ... to no avail!! :x

Only option.. buy from Amazon and pay the heavy shipping (or wait for 20 days)

By the way i also found a site called firstandsecond com but i am not sure about their shipping times

I were sure that with the huge number of the Indian MBA applicants it would be a problem to buy a used book from some lucky guy who already got in the b-school or just borrow it. I personally borrowed a Montauk last Friday from a guy who got into Instituto de Empresa (Montauk is not sold in bookstores in Russia either).

Firstandsecond are pretty reliable delivery wise..I generally got my books 3-4 days top if they have ready stock available which is indicated on the book reviews, details page..Else its a long time waiting..
