Are applications reviewed on a rolling basis or does the adcom wait for the deadline of each round before reading each batch.

So does NYU, but they start it after their first deadline. Yale on the other hand sticks to the deadline of each round.

I've just started the GMAT study. So want to give myself as much time as possible to get a good score. But not at the cost of missing the chance of gaining an interview. I won't be able to make R1 and no point in applying just before the deadline in R2 if interviews are given out before all applications are collected. I guess I'll have to sit the GMAT as early as possible as Columbia is one of the schools I am applying for.
Any idea of the policy at Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT and LBS

Any idea of the policy at Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT and LBS HBS reviews applications in batch. No advantage to submitting it a minute before the deadline or a week before the deadline. Study hard for the GMAT but not at the expense of your essays, which take a considerable amount of time. Be prepared for 120-200 hours worth of work!
