career services [#permalink] New post 06 Jul 2011, 07:46
Hi all,

was wondering if any school's out there offer a structured curriculum around career services. Like an actual class, rather than seminars, bootcamps etc.

I'm currently doing my mba in the great white north and was contemplating pitching my school on having a course centered around career development.

something along the lines of weekly assignments around connecting a peer with your personal network, reviewing resumes, creating a target list of companies, contacting said targets etc.

my thought was that it would be more efficient use of student time if it were structured, and it would be more motivating within a group, also would help the school's overall network.

Any input would be most appreciated.

Thanks!
