Anybody else following this behemoth Chinese govt investment? I'm really intrigued by 1) the timing of the purchase - right before the P/E firm goes public and 2) the fact that the US government didn't get involved this time, like they did a few years ago with Unocal. Kind of a flashback to the Japanese fat cats in the 1980s...
