Chances for 700?

Chances for 700? [#permalink] New post 17 Apr 2012, 18:06
Can anyone tell me how I'm looking for 700? I'm taking the test thursday, 2 days and am having so much trouble reaching that last jump from mid-high 600's to the 700. These are my scores starting from earliest to most recent.

Mgmat Quant/ Verbal Total

1) 43/38 670
2) 47/34 670
3) 42/34 630
4) 40/41 670

Gmat Prep

1) Last week 44/35 640
2) This week 48/ 34 690

Btw- I'm also wondering how my scores can fluctuate this much...Its a little ridiculous

Score fluctuation is common! Going on your last GMAT prep of 690, I think you have a good shot of reaching 700. To give you an idea of the possibility, I NEVER hit 700 in any practice tests, and my last practice test was a 690, and I ended up with a 710 on test day. I would concentrate on really preparing yourself mentally, physically, and with concepts so that you can have your absolute best performance on test day. Many people react well under the pressure and end up doing better on test day b/c they are 110% focused, and the pressure allows them to get a couple more right. If you are able to do this, then you will score high too. You've got this! Good luck

Review your notes, take a rest day and gluk. You can not do much with 2 days left.

You have a shot at 700+, it's not guaranteed though. Just prepare yourself psychologically for how you might feel on the actual test day. Take a question from random and try to answer it as fast as you can and as correctly as possible. Speed test yourself.

Thanks a lot everyone for your input. I am going to review some quant from the OG and then after 3 tomorrow just stop everything and relax. I guess it will all come down to whether or not I am on my game and wether the RC passages aren't so hard. Thanks a lot guys and pray for me!

You will do very well on the GMAT. Have no fears. I myself I am trying to calm my anxieties down and also doing some speed testing. Another thing that I am also trying to do is to consistently review the basics in quant and also review notes on the various question types that would be asked in the verbal section.
