I will go with C on this one.

The underlying assumption is "You cannot argue with taste" This assumption has to be true when something out of the following is selected to be the best
1) Best painting from an exhibition
2) Most beautiful person from beauty contest
3) Best recipe from the cookbook
4) Best movie from a movie festival

The only ting that is not related to taste is Garbage disposal system. The underlying assumption does not hold good here. The system works on the basis of efficiency or cost effectiveness and not the taste of the people selecting it. So this is inconsitent with the underlying assumption.

I hope I am right.

Totally new perspective, your reasoning seems logically convincing... However, is there such a thing as THE best recipe from a recipe book? On the other hand, the weak spot of my reasoning is that there is really no taste involved in a garbage disposal system...

What is the source of this question? I think I recall going over this question already in the past. Not sure what the answer was though
