Darden App - Self reported transcripts ?? [#permalink] New post 11 Oct 2007, 14:41
I have a question about transcripts. Darden asks for a detailed self-reported transcript doc.

Fact is I have an official Transcript from my college already.
(In my Univ terms ...official transcript is attested photocopy of every marks card+Degree certificate which is put in an envelope and sealed across the flap).

Is this adequate or do I still have to fill out the Darden transcripts document.

Prior Indian applicants who applied to Darden might be familiar with this situation...so please advice.

I wont speak to the specifics of Darden but many schools request self reported transcripts during the app process and only want a complete transcript if you are accepted. Judging by the fact that many supply forms (thankfully I know Chicago and Tuck use the exact same form so its easy to copy and paste)...by having all applicants with the same format it makes it easier to find the information they care about. They also have more information than a normal transcript, I know I had to calculate my GPA for each year and enter that which I am glad I had to do because I have a good upward trend from 2nd to 4th years. (unfortunately I went down 1-2)

I am filling out the Darden transcript right now, and it took forever...I also had the official, but am pretty sure they want you to fill out the unofficial transcript.

I have a problem with my post-graduate education as it does not fit into the traditional style of transcript, and have decided not to do anything about it.

we shall see.

OK...I spoke with the adcom in Darden about this.

Since I am an Intl and we dont have any credit-hours/grades...adcom is fine with my official transcripts (photocopy of marks cards attested by school). They have many Indian applicants and are fine with our college transcripts.

I am going to mail them right away.
