Scott, Omari and everybody:

often schools ask, 'if you had another day...?'

can i write things like cooking, gardening...golfing (and i am passionate about these)

its difficult to draw a line here.

I'm not 100% sure about what your question is. If you're asking if it's reasonable to write about these things, I say that it is. You're much better of writing about a passion of yours than simply writing what you think the adcomms want to read. Just explain what you would do with that time, and why that's the case.

If you're asking about how much is too much, I recommend keeping it focused. In this particular essay, if you want to write about your hobbies/passions, keep it focused on just one or two things. Don't throw too many things at the adcomms at once.

the actual question was 'if you had an extra day( 8 day week) what would you do with it?

Hopefully writing about two interests would be ok as you say. should it also be mentioned why one needs day 8 (considering you have day 6 and 7)
