I took the exam last week and got a 680 (had a bad day) - was very disappointed - took it today, got a 730 (Q:50, V: 40). I think I am finally done!!!

Thanks a lot to all you guys who answered the questions I had posted!!!

Good luck to the future GMAT-takers!!!

Congratulations buddy, that's really good show, you climbed just in one week!

Between the two exams, I studied for maybe a total of 10-12 hours. I took my mind off studying and relaxed and hung out with friends quite a bit. I feel I studied too much and burned myself out the first time around.

The test center was very warm the first time and I went into the exam with a headache. I made sure to wear appropriate clothing during my second shot.

During my second shot, I finished the Essay and the Quant sections with quite a bit of time left, but had to rush through the last 6-10 questions on verbal (less than 1 minute/question). However, paying closer attention to the questions in the beginning certainly helped, though I should have paced myself.

Let me know if you have any specific questions and I will be more than happy to answer them.

Great job! I thought that there was a 1 month period before taking the test again? I can't remember who told me that or where I read it.

You can take it only once per calendar month. But that means you can take it at the end of one month and the start of the next.

Exactly! The calendar month does not mean 30 days. Hence I was able to take it on Sept. 28th and then again on Oct. 5th. In addition, you can not take it more than 5 times a year.
