Question: Can the multipule of a number be -ve. Suppose if we say how many 2 digit multiple of 5 are there?

Do we include -25,-35,..also or only +ve multipule... etc ?? :?: :?:

cj,

that's a real good question for which I have no answer. I have observed that the questions will be very clear without such ambiguity:

...how many multiples of 5 are there between.....

..If n is a 2-digit positive integer and is a multiple of 5....

May be some gurus can chime in here to help :shock:

good question..

in gmat, -ves are not considered for multiples

Johhny, usually the question stem will specify +ive or -ive.
