Dress code! Urgent! [#permalink] New post 30 Jan 2010, 11:08
I have my alum interview tomorrow. Yes Sunday AM in a coffee shop!
I am not sure if I should wear suits. It will be really awkward if the interviewer comes in a pair of jeans!

At the same time, I dont to look under dressed either. There was no communciation from the alum about the dress code. Should I play safe in a suit or will business casuals do?

always wear a suit to an interview, regardless of where it is. this seems to be the consensus around here. the only exception is if they specifically say to wear something else

a suit is always good bec. if you find yourself being overdressed, you can remove the coat to sorta mitigate this... long sleeves and tie ain't too bad. but either way, remember not to sweat it... your clothes aren't the point of the interview... they're important, but if you do come overdressed, the ability to laugh it off, and joke about it with the interviewer will still get you brownie points...
