Can someone give any ideas how to start and pose this essay...
I am having a hard time..

Statement of Professional Goals:
On a separate piece of paper , give a thoughthful candid analysis of your professional objectives , both long term and short term and indicate how the graduate program for which you applying will help you achieve them? This a personal statement

I would start off with -- before you put pencil to paper and start writing he essay -- thinking about what you'd love to be doing right now. Then, why are you not doing it? What skills/experiences are you missing that could help you get there? Hopefully that's what you can get at your target school.
