Dream school: HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Yale Also interested: Haas, MIT
Is the GMAT score good enough?

Unfortunately, 640 is not good enough for any school in top 30 anymore, unless you have a great great great profile.
Given the fact that you are Indian/software/computer science I wouldn't be too optimistic about your chances at Stanford, MIT, Wharton.
I don't think HBS even considers applicants with 9 years of WE.

WE - non-profit, government, entrepreneurship GMAT - 700+, quant in in 90% Ethnicity - Hispanic, African, native American extras - anything unusual
