thanks a ton Paul.

A related query is: Do you think my post MBA goal of getting into investment banking/corporate finance too general?

Should i link it to my pre MBA experience to say that in the short/medium term, I will help Indian businesses raise funding/financing in and outside India to achieve economies of scale/develop critical mass to be competitive at world level?

Also that in the long run, given my background in law/regulation and a MBA, I would like to get into policy work with the government etc. in the field of financial regulation/economics?WOuld that be a viable option?would that cut ice and help me stand out from the crowd?

Looking for your valuable inputs

Studebaker7,

Yes, any connections you can make between your goals and your previous experiences should be made in order to give the goals context and credibility. Simply stating a corporate finance/IB goal *is* too general, so narrow that down and flesh that out as much as possible. I think the policy angle is worth mentioning, but do your homework on it so it sounds credible and genuine.

Good luck,
