GMAT exam [#permalink] New post 18 Jun 2003, 18:59
Is it true that the monitor resolution in the real GMAT exam is 640x480? Is yes, what is the reason behind it?

Doesn't it affect one's ability to read the text and slow down the speed?

thanks

Yep; it is just as PowerPrep.

If you took PP - it adjusts your screen resolution to 640x480 and 60Hz rate, which makes it flaky if you have a CRT ( non-laptop type. )

I don;t really know what the technical reasoning is behind that; I had 17" screen, and I could bet my score that it supported at least 1024x768.

The only reason I can come up with is compatibility - GMAT results have to comparable for 5 years; thus if you took your GMAT in 98 and I take in 2003 and I had a better resolution and better conditions, it would not be fair. So, the new generations have to suffer for the old ones.

There is no reflection of improvement in GMAT :)
