GMAT incident/Technical problems [#permalink] New post 11 Mar 2007, 09:39
Yesterday during my test the workstation experienced some bugs due to which I lost at least 6-7 minutes in the end of math section. I could not press any buttons while the timer was counting the time down. Everything is recorded on camera and the assistant in the test center can also prove my words. Left with 8 minutes and 10-11 questions in the end of math section I had to almost guess the answers. No need to mention that i was frustrated and even thought to skip the test. However, I decided to continue the test, though I was sure that I had failed the test by that time. I scored only 650. I am sure I could have done much better :(

Does any of you have such experience? If yes, how did you solve such issues with GMAC?

I would definetely complain to Gmac. There are some phone numbers written on the confirmation letter they send you when you schedule a test. I think you have a good chance of taking the test again for free...

While your score is not bad, you are right, you could have done much better....

Well, re-testing for free is good solution, but considering that local rep. office of Pearson VUE is closed for undefined time I have to spend another 600-700 USD for traveling to Yerevan :(

By the way, in YerevanI learned from the rep of Pearson VUE that applicants who want to get MBA in local university pass only Math section of GMAT. Do you think GMAC could arrange the same for me? Or could they allow me to skip at least AWA section?

I do not think they will let you skip anything on the test...
