gmat official guide 13th edition

i just started reading official guide gmat 13th edition yesterday.
in that it wass written that integrated reasoning is not counted in the main score....
that means that even if all the integrated reasoning questions are wrong ,it doesn't affect our score? is that so or i am reading it wrong....need help.....reply asap.....

That's right. The IR and AWA sections have a separate score. They are considered by the admissions in their decision, however, so even though not as competitive, they are not throw-away sections.

The IR section will replace one of the essays in AWA and will be rated separately on a 2-8 point range. The Quant and Verbal sections will stay as they were (and will be scored in same way as well- out of 800) and will be available immediately after the CAT. The IR score will be available a few days (about 20 days perhaps) after the exam as the old AWA scores used to be.

Yes, your IR score wont be counted in the main score. It will be given separately.
