I just read that the GMAT percentiles changed on 10/01. Does this mean that we have to report the new percentiles for the given score, or do we represent the percentile we received when we took the test?
Also, I had 46 scaled score in the quant (80%), now 46 is 79%. Is 80% really the magic number as suggested, and does this changing of the percentiles hurt me? (710 overall).
Here is the Wharton adcom blog post on the change in percentiles
and how to handle it, at least for Wharton. You should check with your schools.
The change in percentile from 80% to 79% is insignificant. The 80% figure is a guideline. It is not
a line in the sand that can't be crossed or a hard and fast cut-off.
