New here and I just wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on the GMAT plus stuff in the links section. Haven't tried them yet, are they any good? And where do they come from? Which sections seem to be the most representative of the real gmat....I would guess the verbal.
We had a number of discussions about this, and it is strange that I can't find any of them. Here is my take on this:
In brief - GMAT Plus is a left over from an Indian Company that was selling these packages for $300+ a piece and claimed that they were real tests stollen from the ETS or elsewhere. Well, they were shut down a year ago or so or at least their website has been.
Here is what it looks like it is: a collection of problems from older Official Guides, Kaplan, PR, and who knows what. Some of them are strange while others look just fine. The package does not have any explanations and about 10% of the answers are wrong.
Nevertheless, it seems there was some truth to the relationship between ETS and GMAT+ since recently when GMAC offered several tests for sale (older paper versions) several sections matched exactly, which was a surprise to me. (THis has been testified by one of the members- you can find his post, nick Kdog)
Bottom line: GMAT Plus is a collection of stuff from
OG, Kaplan, PR, and some sections are actual OLD questions (which just as well might have been taken from
OG 5th edition or smth)
I have not used the package myself really, but it seems that Math would be closer - many people complained that Verbal was a way too easy.
