Thank you - that is a useful distinction.

It seems to me that the OGs should be used in the latter stages of test prep - once the concepts are clear in one's head, and practice becomes key.

As someone who got a great score and is at a fantastic university, any thoughts?

Let me disagree with you :)

If I began my GMAT journey again, I would go following steps:

- read about GMAT format
- take GMAT Prep1 from official GMAC site
- define my weaknesses.
- go trough OG with timer and focusing on weaknesses.
- get something additional only from weak area. (In my case it would be SC and RC). Participate actively in the forum.
- take GMAT Prep2
- regularly come back to OG reviewing all questions that I got wrong or spent too much time.
- take GMAT Prep1-2 2-4 times.
- 2 weeks before Exam: only OG and GMAT Prep.

Your disagreement is welcome!

Can I download the GMATPrep ad infinitum? Or will the two tests essentially be the same with each download?

The same with each download but they have more questions than enough for 2 tests. So, when you decide to take test again, you will see only a few repetitions. The score will not be right but you can see your weak area.

Thanks, have still a lot of things and ideas to do. Not soon, but definitely Blackberry is next step. I think we need to pass "symbolic" threshold in functionality and popularity of the app. Now it is just wise allocation of time and affords. So far, I think it is better to have a good app for one platform than 2 average apps for two (or more) platforms.

Hi Chuckberry007,

Thanks for feedback,

Could you describe in detail what is wrong, step by step, please? Are you trying to update the app from your iPhone or iTunes? What does the system say? Did you download the update and can't update your phone through iTunes, or AppStore doesn't allow you to download? What device and OS do you have?

Thanks,
Walker

Sorry for not being clear. I had my GMAT tool application installed two weeks back (paid) and I understand that the additional Maths book & other function was not really until near Xmas. I try to update the current version-1.2 today (after I saw the post) using my i-phone but there is no "free update icon" in the "My Apps Update" in itune unlike the other updates. Is the update free? Could it be the Singapore site has not updated the new version yet?

Thanks

chuckberry.

Update is free. I checked AppStore for Singapore and yes, 1.2 version is available for download.
If you don't see "update" option neither in iTunes nor in iPhone's AppStore that probably can be for the following reason:
your ID in iTunes does not correspond to ID that you used for the purchase or you just need to login.
Check upper-right corner in iTunes, does it show right ID (email)?

If no, you need login with right ID and check new updates.

If yes and you are really sure that this is right ID you used to buy the app, you can find GMAT ToolKit in AppStore and click "BUY". Then iTunes will say that you already own this App and it is free for your to download it. (!) Be sure you use right ID, otherwise iTunes will process it as a new purchase. Double check all options before doing this.

It is a good news :)

Chuckberry007, if you have any suggestions/ideas or something does not work right, feel free to contact me any time.
Some of the changes I can do pretty fast, so just let me know what would you improve even if it is something simple.

Good luck with exam!

Thanks,
Walker

8-) Yesterday, our two applications, GMAT Toolkit and GMAT Club, became #1 and #2 paid GMAT preparation applications in USA AppStore for the first time! Although we have realized only 10% of all our ideas, it is a good sign to go ahead!

Thanks a lot, guys!!! It wouldn't be possible without you and your feedback! A little surprise for you will be unveiled soon ;)

Although Blackberry are not our high priority task, I think we are close to take this direction into account.

Good luck!
Warm regards,
Walker
