Thank you in advance for any input regarding my question.
Most top business schools are starting to accept the GRE as the entrance exam. I previously took the GRE (800Q/720V - equivalent to 760 according to ETS) to pursue a Masters degree. Now, I want to pursue an MBA after a couple of years of work experience. I was debating whether to take the GMAT to increase my chances.
I was leaning towards yes to support my low u-grad GPA. I've really tried my best through last two years of college, graduate school work, and GRE to demonstrate my candidacy.
BS 3.2 GPA in engineering (public univ.)
MS 3.8 GPA in engineering (top 3 program)
MS 3.8 GPA in operations research (top 10 program)
Any thoughts? Will a 700+ GMAT help my chances? I've been getting ~740 on practice exams.

I wouldn't waste time taking the GMAT if I were you unless one of your target schools doesn't accept the GRE. Your performance in graduate school as well as your GRE score more than compensate. Don't beat a dead horse trying to prove something you've already proven. You can obviously handle the work at any MBA program. Move on to the application phase.

Thank you for your input cheetarah1980. My top target schools are MIT, Kellogg, Harvard, and Columbia MS/MBA (currently doing part-time MS), and thankfully, all four schools do not require the GMAT. Not preparing for the GMAT will help me focus on my application along with my full-time work, part-time studying, and extracurricular activities.
