I will go with B

In A "having" is not required.

C- use of being is wrong.

In D and E, time is not compared as in A, B , and C. the second clause says that baby boomers affluent now... here use of although and despite to begin the sentence doesnt make sense.

I pick A.

'having provided' and 'having seen' are ||; the meaning clearly conveys that both the actions are completed.

Choices (D) and (E) are out as they show contrast.
Choice (C) is not parallel.

Choice (A) and (B) are close, but (B) does the tense error in "seeing" which means that baby boomers are currently "seeing their children off into the world".

(A) is the correct answer!
