Good Job. Yes, if you beleive in yourself then you can do better.Once you have time,do share with us your experiences, study books,prep CAT's and study plan.This will help all of us.I am not a "Verbal Guru" so cannot guide you on improving your Verbal score.

How do you know what you got on the essays already? I took the GMAT last Saturday, but my unofficial score report didn't include a grade for the essays.
