I'm kind of worried with LBS, it is my top school and I think I should have given it a bigger effort... I will probably still apply to at least Columbia and Berkeley... ...and if I don't see any of these going my way, a few in the last round. Who cares, money is just that, money, isn't it? And another year doing my job will be painfull and won't help a little bit my chances to get into an MBA... (LBS pleaseeeeeeeeee) although I like my job, this whole application process made me realize how young and relatively inexperienced I am and I should get out there and not be afraid to try new things, whether it's work related or things that I've always wanted to do, but never had enough determination or drive to start

Agree completely. If I am admitted to b-school, I have promised myself that I will make a true commitment to improving weaker areas of my overall profile (i.e. public speaking, networking, etc).
I want to make an earnest effort to get out of my comfort zone and try new things, because b-school is a wonderful opportunity and I intend to get as much out of it as I can.

What about Vault.com? I spend a lot of time reading salary info and employee surveys there. I also spend way too much time on admissions411.com sizing up the competition. This whole process makes people so obsessive. It will be nice to finally get some acceptances (knock on wood) and get back to normal life.

I'm also in that position, fortunately I'll probably change to another job within my company, one that is more analytical than the on I have right now, but these last few days a haven't even care about that change, I'm just in auto-pilot doing my job!... An I still have to wait untill Feb.8th to know if I got the LBS interview...

Ya don't worry man. We can be study buddies
I'll do all the math and you do all the writing and bringing hot frat girls to our party
I'm surprised that no one else has brought this up in this thread yet. Everyone is day dreaming about quiting their jobs but no one is dreaming about going back to school?
Am I the only one that dreams of living in a dingy apartment, milk crate decor, half naked girls running up and the down the dorm hall...keggers, etc?
Obviously this is the part about bschool I am not telling my SO

Work? I am working harder then I ever have right now and at the same time I have the lowest level of interest in doing it in the history of my career.
I dream of the day I can give my resignation and walk out with a smile on my face - but until I get my first admit, I will not allow myself not to feel the pressure of work. Once I get it I will be a VERY happy man.
Rhyme thats funny that you bring your own laptop to work - I do the same. Think corporate would frown upon that I keep mine locked up and nobody knows I do it.

Work sucks! Even if I'm not admitted anywhere I'll quit and become an entrepreneur or "cherry pick" my next job for 2 or 3 months. I'm exhausted of putting up with nonsense.

Rhyme, another factor that you might want to consider between GSB and Kellogg. I was talking with the VP of Chicago's alumni club in So Cal. So this dude apparently meet his wife at a Kellogg MBA party (yeah, wife is a Kellogg graduate!). His $.02 was: eye candy in Kellogg is much better than Chicago.
I know, crowd-quality is something that one never thinks while evaluating a program, but the fact that the Alum President brought this up...makes you wonder how you will look back at your 2 years in school, 10 yrs from now!

LOL, I'm basically married
But yes, I could have told you this. In fact, I can one up your quote. A professor at Kellogg once told me "This is where the 25-year old girls who realize they can't be models forever come". Beat that! Its true by the way.
