Thanks guys, but I don't want to buy the book just yet.
I've actually never tried understanding how to answer a CR question, have just gone with the flow. So I picked out a couple of BTG.com articles, and this post on GMATClub -
critical-reasoning-for-beginners-82111.html. Also watched some videos and I think I was so lost before this!
Now I know I should first read the question stem and identify the type of question. This way I'll know what I'm looking for in the stimulus (para). Then when I read the para, I should identify the premise and the conclusion. Also, think of the assumption that connects the P & C. If it's a strengthen/weaken question, the assumption should either be true, or be proven false.
For assumption questions, I think that the assumption you've come up with should be restated in some way, though I'm not sure...any thoughts?Anyway, I realised I want to practice being able to recognize question types and how to answer the common ones/ what to look for in them. Am going to go through
https://www.mukulhinge.com/CRBasics.html first and then do some strengthen/weaken type qs from OG12 where I will use the steps that have been recommended. Tomo I will practice some qs from my BTG premium acct.
