Interpreting Waitlist, Rethink Essay? [#permalink]
18 Dec 2010, 12:13
Hi guys. Add me to the round one waitlist wasteland. I applied to 3 schools and got waitlisted at each! Am now trying to finalize round two applications.
Question: If you got waitlisted in round one, are you adjusting your essay strategy (stories, positioning, themes, etc.) in round two? On the one hand, I didn't get in anywhere so how good could my essays be? But on the other hand I came close three times, each school telling me I was qualified, just not qualified enough.
Is it better to stick with the strategy that landed three near-hits and hope my luck is better in round two? Or should I try something new?

Have you considered sending one of your essays to an admissions consultant in the forums? I think a few of the consultants review 1 essay for free, maybe they can provide some advice in this sense.
