Kaplan Word Problems vs. OG11 Word Problems [#permalink] New post 21 May 2009, 20:50
Ive been using the Kaplan GMAT Math Workbook (6th Ed) to brush up on fundamentals. It has a chapter on Word Problems as does the OG11. Should I forgo the Kaplan chapter and use OG11's since it will provide the closest resemblance to GMAT content? I am willing to do both if necessary, I am just curious for time/efficiency purposes. Thanks.

Depends on what level you are at.

Kaplan is harder. OG is easier than the real thing.
You should be OK working on either but both would be better. You are correct about OG being closer to the real test, but it is not as critical in Math as it is in Verbal. Math is much easier to match - verbal is a whole different story.

If you must choose, I would take Kaplan, but that's me. (I never used OG for my prep) - did not know it existed :) :) :)
