I am set to start at a BB this summer. I currently have a 3.65 GPA and am studying for the CPA examination alongside schoolwork (I'm going into a finance rotational program which respects the designation).

I really want to focus on getting most of my studying for the CPA over with before starting work so I was thinking about not focusing too much on school. Even if I get straight B's this semester, I would still have above a 3.5 GPA.

If I were to apply for business school 5-6 yrs down the road would there be much difference between a 3.5 and 3.7 all else equal? Should I focus on getting A's my last semester or should I not worry about it too much and focus on CPA/having fun?

GPA is just one of many factors for MBA admissions and if you are going to have 5-6 years of experience by the time you apply/enroll, quality of your work experience will be much more important. But, this assumes that your GPA is still pretty good (in this context this normally means at least 3.0) and your GMAT score is decent (both of these indicators will show that you have what it takes academically to complete the program).

So, having a 3.5 or a 3.7 will probably make no difference in your case. My suggestion is to go for the CPA and have some fun your senior year :-)
