hi linda

for the Ohio state university, the LOR has to be sent by post and my recommenders cannot do it online. when they returned the completed LOR to me in a sealed envelope, they told me that although the instructions from the school are that they want it on official letter head, they could not get the letter head as it involves a process of getting our reporting manager's approval. i am not comfortable with my reporting manager knowing that i am applying for an MBA as it might prove unfavourable for my career.

will i be at at a disadvantage if my recommenders have written out the letter on plain paper???

The recommender should use his personal letterhead and explain why he isn't using company letterhead.

Good luck!
