If 40% of unsuccessful requests for promotion are repeated within 6 months and 25% of requests for promotion are successful, what percentage of requests for promotion in any 6 month period would be the first attempt?

If 40% of unsuccessful requests for promotion are repeated within 6 months and 25% of requests for promotion are successful, what percentage of requests for promotion in any 6 month period would be the first attempt?

25% of requests for promotion are successful= 25 ppl..
remaining (100-25) are unsuccessful and 40% of 75 ppl is repeated so tht means rest 60% is not repeated
so 60%=3/5 *75=45 ppl
so 45+25=70 ans..
