The investment is doubled very succeeding year for 5 yrs.

1st yr - 10
20
40
80
5th yr - 160

Total investment = 10 + 20 + 40 + 80 + 160 = 310

%age investment in first yr = 10/310 *100 = 100/31 = 3% approx

i know the solution, but i am trying to ask is....

ok i got it , i had assumed investment as return.whereas question says investment into project

the question is trying to ask you the %age ratio of investment in first year to total investment in five years....ANS is E..3%
